THE quirky and colourful Gold Coast home of the 2017 House Rules winners has fetched almost double what the reality stars paid three years ago.

The Channel 7 reno show champions Aaron and Daniella Winter had their Broadbeach Waters property transformed into a Palm Springs-inspired oasis during a two-week flip on the small screen.

They listed the eccentric four-bedroom house for sale in August with a $1.325 million price guide, which was later slashed to $1.239 million.

The property at 9 Summerland Key sold this week for $1.2 million.

The property was transformed on the Channel 7 reno show.

The pair purchased the once-dated property in 2016 for $730,000, according to property records.

The carpenter and dance teacher took out the television series and $200,000 cash prize and have since opened a business, Hype Build and Design.

Daniella said they were on “cloud nine” after the sale but were also sad to hand over the keys to their dream family home.

“It was planned to be our family forever home and things changed within minutes for us going on the show — our life is a whirlwind,” she said.

“We have absolutely loved that house and loved living there but we have got a new adventure coming.

“We will definitely miss the indoor/outdoor living and for us it has a nice family feel. Moving on, that’s what we need to create in another property for ourselves.”

The family of four, including the couple’s two children Jaxon, 5, and Brooklyn, 3, are currently on the hunt for another property to flip.

“We are looking everywhere, obviously on the Gold Coast but interstate and internationally as well,” Daniella said.

Buyers from Sydney secured the keys.

It hit the market in August.

Kollosche agent Danny Stanley, who marketed the property alongside Jamie Harrison, said the interstate buyers instantly fell in love with the unique home not realising it was the star of a popular television show.

“They were a lovely couple from Sydney who have sold their place down there and are looking for a more relaxed lifestyle on the Coast,” he said.

“They fell in love with the property as soon as they saw it and put in an offer on the day.

“They love the feel of the place and don’t have any kids so it suited their lifestyle needs.

“Initially they were not aware (it was on House Rules) until their friends told them.”
