Delivering a Brighter Future

August 7 2024

The Kollosche Community Fund elevated its positive impact on the Gold Coast community throughout the 2023-24 financial year.
Delivering a Brighter Future

Kollosche, through its Community Fund, was honoured to be able to give valuable funds and time back to the communities in which it operates in FY23-24.

A percentage of every sale from the past 12 months went into the fund, with almost $500,000 being redistributed through 55 individual donations.

Collectively championed by our dedicated board members, sales agents and the wider team, the Fund supported a diverse range of worthy local causes, including charities, sporting clubs, aspiring athletes and individuals in need.

Supporting Local Sports

Local sporting and surf lifesaving clubs promote the physical health of members, while also providing a welcoming and inclusive environment where the community can come together and connect.

Through donations and sponsorships, Kollosche helped these organisations to maintain and upgrade their facilities, provide players with new uniforms and equipment, and host meaningful social events to strengthen community ties.

Additional funds were given to aspiring young athletes, helping them to pursue opportunities that they otherwise couldn’t to further their sporting careers.

Leading by Example

Beyond offering a platform through which Kollosche can make financial contributions, the Community Fund also aims to inspire and facilitate new connections between local businesses or philanthropists and those in need.

A key example of this was the fourth annual Kollosche People’s Ball, where attendees rallied together to raise more than $1,000,000 for local charity Serving Our People.

The event also prompted the largest single donation that the charity has received to date, with Sherpa Property Group and LPS Group donating an upcoming ‘Perspective Nexus’ apartment worth approximately $1,200,000.

This new partnership is a heartwarming sign of the desire and capacity within the Gold Coast community to support those in need – something that Kollosche and its Community Fund will continue to advocate for in FY24-25.

Championing Charities and Causes

Another priority this year was to assist local charities and organisations working to help the most vulnerable families and individuals within the community.

Vital funds were donated to initiatives supporting those affected by food insecurity, cost of living pressures, domestic violence, serious illness and unforeseen crises.

Recognising that the support required is far beyond financial, sales agents and the wider team also volunteered their time, packing donated items, participating in fundraising events and spending meaningful time with those who are doing it tough.
