The sold out sign is now up on Infinity, a 39-storey luxury tower fast taking shape in the heart of the booming Broadbeach lifestyle precinct.

Kollosche New Projects confirms unconditional contracts are in place on all 62 apartments, with a Melbourne buyer snapping up the final full-floor residence last week.

That $4,478,000 contract brings the sales tally to circa $130 million for the 39-storey development currently under construction on the corner of Surf Parade and George Avenue. The sell-out is sweet news for Bassar Construction Group who launched Infinity shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic struck in 2020.

Leo Sarris, who heads up Bassar alongside Simon Bassil, said the project had held its own despite the many hurdles thrown at them over the past two years.

“We faced unprecedented challenges when Covid first hit, but once the market understood that we were committed to building Infinity they supported us,” says Sarris.

“The majority of sales happened within the first six months of Covid when the world was locking down, but we stayed the course; there was no turning back for us.

“It’s a project that we truly believe in and we made sure at the time when we were putting Infinity together that there was nothing else like it in terms of size and style.”

Indeed, Infinity was ahead of the game in anticipating the desire for oversized apartments, with half floors delivering 216m2 and full floors a generous 432m2.

Foresight and commitment have paid off for Bassar as well as those who purchased early off the plan, with the value of those apartments having since surged.

“The people who took advantage of Infinity early have done extremely well,” said agent Andrew Ramsey of Kollosche New Projects who led the sales campaign.

“The value of those apartments has increased considerably – up to 40 percent – but none are willing to sell because there isn’t anything comparable to buy.

“Even if you could find it, you’d be waiting another two years for newer projects coming to market to reach this stage.”

Hutchinson Builders are heading up the construction phase with the residential-only building and amenities – including a 20-metre pool, gymnasium, function room and cafe – due for completion in February 2023.

Infinity is the first Gold Coast development for Bassar Construction Group, building on a portfolio of projects in Sydney and Melbourne.

Designed by Gold Coast architects BDA Group, Infinity sits within a short walk of the beach, the Star Casino, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and Broadbeach Light Rail station.
