Kollosche Dominates Quarterly Results
April 6 2023
The first quarter of 2023 has come to a close with Kollosche securing nine of the top 10 highest recorded sales on the Gold Coast, and six of the top 10 across Queensland, according to property listing website realestate.com.au.
A 650m2 penthouse apartment in the prestigious ‘272 Hedges Avenue’ building in Mermaid Beach was the highest sale in the state, fetching $12,000,000 following a comprehensive marketing campaign by Michael Kollosche and Harry Kakavas. The buyer was introduced by fellow agent Danny Stanley.
Beachfront properties proved the most popular type of housing stock during the March quarter, with seven of Kollosche’s top 10 sales located metres from the sand and surf.
A series of auction campaigns run by southern beaches specialist Troy Dowker proved highly successful with two original beachfront properties along Pacific Parade in Currumbin and Tugun generating huge buyer attention and heated bidding. Sold under the hammer for $10,125,000 and $9,100,000, those results were among the top six Queensland sales for the quarter.
Overall, Kollosche’s auction clearance rate of 86.67 per cent is well above the wider market. The national rate struggled to rise beyond 65 per cent across capital cities in the past 12 months and 50 per cent in regional areas, according to Domain’s 2023 auction report.
Main River residential real estate also performed well with two riverfront homes sold by Kollosche agents – 640 Nerang Broadbeach Road in Carrara and 68 The Promenade on Isle of Capri – making the top 10 mega sales list as well.
Across the quarter Kollosche posted more than $414,000,000 worth of sales, with an average sale price of just over $3,044,000. This exceeds the Gold Coast median house price, which CoreLogic reports as $960,000.
