Kollosche Recognised At Industry Awards
November 1 2022
Kollosche has walked away with a top gong at this year’s annual REIQ Awards for Excellence, which recognises the best in Queensland real estate.
A cache of more than $658 million-worth of sales in the 2021-2022 financial year led Michael Kollosche, managing director and selling principal agent, to take out the award for Residential Salesperson SEQ – Settled Commissions.
Michael superseded eight other nominees, including colleague and southern beaches specialist Troy Dowker, to claim the accolade.
“I feel humbled but also pleased that the hard work that my team puts into each and every one of our sales has been recognised by the industry,” says Michael.
“Kollosche as an agency prides itself on its dedication to achieving premium results for its clients and our success and dedication to going above and beyond is evident in the sales achieved.”
Michael was also a finalist in the category for Residential Salesperson of the Year, while the agency was among ten finalists vying for Sales Agency SEQ – Settled Commissions as well as Large Residential Agency of the Year.
A record 880 real estate professionals attended the awards night which was held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Saturday, 10 October.
Agents and their respective agencies were recognised across 29 separate categories, with a total cohort of 180 finalists.
Real Estate Institute of Queensland chief executive officer Antonia Mercorella said the annual awards celebrated truly exceptional real estate professionals who set the benchmark for standards in the industry, in what has been a difficult year.
“Against a challenging backdrop, we are continually heartened by the quality and integrity of the professionals within our sector who put best practice first and foremost, while still achieving business success,” says Antonia.
Some of Michael’s more notable sales across 2021-22 include two major deals in the prestige enclave of Paradise Waters in Surfers Paradise. One was for a four-storey waterfront mansion at 60 Admiralty Drive, which sold for $13,600,000, with the help of Kollosche sales agents Sam Guo and Julia Kuo. The other was for 125 Commodore Drive, which sold for $10,500,000 after only 18 days on the market.
The high-profile, Chris Clout-designed coastal home at 662 Pacific Parade, Tugun, had been on and off the market with several other agents before Michael and his sales associate Jay Helprin sold it for $9,100,000 under the hammer, following a successful marketing campaign.
Along “Multi-millionaires’ Row” in Mermaid Beach, Michael and fellow Kollosche sales agent Harry Kakavas sold a tri-level luxury mansion at 159 Hedges Avenue for $21,000,000 in an off-market deal. The sale outshone the previous price paid for the property, a little more than a year earlier, by more than $5,000,000.
In a simultaneous transaction, Michael penned deals for two penthouses in Main Beach, one in the boutique Amani development for $19,000,000 and another in the Xanadu tower for $7,000,000.
