Locals Lead a Sales Surge on White Main Beach
January 5 2021
LOCAL buyers are snapping up apartments inside the luxury White Main Beach project, where more than 50 per cent of sky homes are now under contract.
Kollosche’s New Projects team reports seven contracts have been signed on full-floor apartments in the past three weeks, at prices ranging from $2.525 million to $3.15 million.
Developed by White & Partners, White features 27 luxury apartments ideally located between the popular Tedder Avenue restaurant strip and the golden sands of Main Beach.
Kollosche New Projects specialist Andrew Ramsey said inquiry from interstate was strong, but it’s locals who are so far inking their intentions on the sales front.
“The exclusivity of the building is appealing to locals – there is only one apartment per floor so you don’t have any neighbours and there is no holiday letting,” he said.
“It is a unique residential-only building and spacious 325sqm apartments are hard to find.
“To have current Main Beach residents signing contracts gives White a big tick of local approval.”
The $6 million-plus penthouse was snapped up off the plan by Gold Coast power couple Billy and Jackie Cross, who are long-time advocates of Main Beach.
Recent results bring the total sales tally inside White Main Beach to over 50 per cent, with interest expected to ramp up further as buyers race to secure a lifestyle upgrade.
“We’ve seen a huge surge in sales across the top end of town, particularly in luxury apartments, off the back of COVID as people make decisions based on lifestyle returns,” Mr Ramsey said.
“Local buyers have signed on after viewing the display suite over the holidays but we’ve also been assisting those who can’t physically get here due to travel restrictions.”
Buyers have the option of three or four bedrooms over one or two levels. Residents will also have the exclusive use of a club-lounge level, 25-metre lap pool, entertainment deck, wellness rooms, and a gymnasium.
Builder McNab has now commissioned its construction team to commence detailed design and final approvals to get building works underway by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
“As a result of the exceptional sales support, we’re in a position to prepare to start construction,” said Managing Director Michael McNab.
“We’re so pleased that so many locals endorse the location, the quality and the affordability of these luxury apartments.”
White & Partners Managing Partner George Ajaka said sales momentum on the project was impressive and provided a boost in confidence for the developer.
“This is the only project we’re funding on the Gold Coast at the moment,” Mr Ajaka said.
“We’re excited to see the surge in sales and can’t wait to see the building coming out of the ground.”
White Main Beach display suite is located at 1/18 Tedder Avenue, Main Beach and is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am-4pm.
