Meet Marco De Vincentiis

How long have you been at Kollosche?

I started on 24 August, 2020 .

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Genuinely helping clients with the next stage in their lives, by either selling or helping them to secure the right property.

What did you do prior to joining Kollosche?

I’ve been involved in the music and hospitality industries. In my early days I worked in property management for a number of years, so I have always had a keen interest in real estate. Prior to joining Kollosche, I was a restaurateur for 10 years and during this time, I also performed as a DJ.

Why did you join the real estate industry?

Michael Kollosche and I have been good friends since we were young and I always thought the time would come when we would work together, and it did after closing my last restaurant. I’m grateful that I’ve been given the opportunity to work for a company that I respect and with colleagues that share the same values.

What do you consider your biggest professional achievement?

In my music career, I had a worldwide No.1 hit with the remake of Elton John’s Tiny Dancer. It was performed by singer ARIA Award winner Casey Barnes. One of my restaurants won multiple Good Food Guide Australia Chef Hats and two Gourmet Traveller Wine Glass awards. Most recently, in real estate, I won Newcomer of the Year at the national 2023 REB Awards, which is awarded based on sales performance. To be recognised at a national level by your peers is gratifying and humbling, and has given me continued drive.

And your biggest personal achievement?

Family – my wife and four beautiful children. Creating a safe, loving environment, instilling good morals and values, and teaching my kids to have respect and a good work ethic in a world that is moving so fast, is important to me.

Outline one thing people don’t know about you.

As a teenager growing up in Italy, I trained and competed in judo. I also love motorcycles and have a 1979 Suzuki GS850 Cafe Racer in the garage, although I don’t ride much these days.

Outline your ultimate day out?

Family is important so I like to have breakfast at either No Name Lane in Broadbeach or Café Republic in Bundall, before heading to Kurrawa Beach to spend time with the kids.
