The Gold Coast Golden Era for Residential Investors

A rise in residential property investment is a good indicator that the current Gold Coast property market is continuing strong as we head into the end of the year.

New research commissioned by Me Bank has been released ranking the top 20 suburbs across Australia for residential investment, the Gold Coast taking three spots on the list.

Burleigh Heads came in second place just under the Brisbane suburb of Woolloongabba, while Mermaid Beach took the 17th spot and Miami 18th place, showcasing the strength of the south-east Queensland market.

These numbers continue to confirm the predictions that the Gold Coast golden era is still active and may continue in the coming years with investors’ interests pointed at the Sunshine state.

The top 20 suburbs for residential investment were measured through a variety of combining factors, including new transportation and lifestyle appeals such as the availability of amenities like cafes and restaurants. Population growth, median house prices, average rental price and yields were also included among the range of criteria.

The Gold Coast light rail is a prominent factor for investors as it provides better connectivity to Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise for Burleigh Heads as well as Mermaid Beach and Miami.
