The Lakes Vacant Land Campaign
April 8 2021
Property developer Sunland Group is selling a prime parcel of vacant land within popular master-planned community The Lakes in Mermaid Waters.
The 14,170m2 north-facing forms part of the balance of remaining land within the 42-hectare precinct on the corner of Hooker Boulevard and Bermuda Streets.
Kollosche Commercial agents Adam Grbcic and Tony Grbcic are marketing the land through a five-week expression of interest campaign.
The subject site enjoys stunning lakefront views and is zoned with the potential to develop up to 12-storeys and 512 bedrooms, subject to council approval.
Easily accessed off Bermuda Street, the site is within walking distance to the Q Super Centre and minutes from Pacific Fair, The Star Casino and Broadbeach beaches and restaurants.
“The central location, size of the property and lakeside position makes this asset a strategic investment,” says Adam.
“There are very few parcels of vacant land of this size left across the Gold Coast – let alone one so centrally located and accessible.”
Also adjacent to the subject site are The Lanes Residences – four mid-rise apartment buildings being completed in two stages.
“The first two towers within The Lanes Residences are in the final selling stages and the uptake of units shows just how strong the appetite is for new apartments in this area,” says Adam.
“There’s a real opportunity for a developer to enjoy the success of the current residential project which is heading towards completion.”
The Gold Coast is one of the fastest growing local government areas in Queensland, with the Gold Coast population is projected to reach between 831,000 and 1,076,000 people by 2041.
“This site and broader locality are primed to accommodate the significant population growth currently being experienced and forecast for the Gold Coast,” says Adam.
