Trophy Estate Kicks Off Week of Hot Auctions
September 22 2023
The property market is moving into one of its busiest periods for auctions, with the number of homes going under the hammer ramping up.
Across the country, CoreLogic has earmarked the week ahead as the busiest for auctions since early April and the second busiest for the year to date.
On the Gold Coast a total 112 properties will be going under the hammer between today and Thursday, according to property listing website realestate.com.au, with stock ranging from beachfront apartments to parcels of land to riverfront mansions.
Among the prestige offerings is ‘Alston’ a trophy estate on Main River at 5 McMillan Court, Southport, marketed by Kollosche director Michael Kollosche in conjunction with Rebecca Moffrey.
The 3,442m2 holding, boasting east-facing river and city views and a unique home designed by architect Michael Witty, is one of the most sought-after on the Gold Coast among those seeking to add a blue-chip asset to their portfolios.
The owner is highly motivated to hand over the keys, having a strong desire to divest the asset and make a move to the beachfront.
In adherence with Queensland auction rules, no price guide has been disclosed and any prices previously associated with the property should be disregarded.
Auction proceedings will get under way on site at 5pm today, with everyone attending the auction required to show photo ID upon entry.
Also going under the hammer today is a 1.15-acre estate hosting an executive-level, seven-bedroom family home at 52 Uplands Drive, Parkwood. Marketed by Kollosche sales agents Ryan Ward and Darryl Bright, the auction will take place on site at 12.30pm.
Looking ahead, sales agents Duncan Longmore and Michael Kollosche are bringing 7 Wombat Court in Sorrento to auction on September 29 at 9am. The tri-level compound boasts 18.1m of water frontage offering city views across a Main River inlet.
In nearby Benowa, a house on a supersized 1,415m2 parcel at 176 Heeb Street has upside potential with DA approval for two additional townhouses. It is being marketed through sales agents Brad Coyne and Tony Velissariou and will go under the hammer on September 29 at 10am.
Offering a contemporary coastal lifestyle, five-bedroom 22 Tomewin Street, Currumbin, will be auctioned on site, on September 30 at 10am after the culmination of a marketing campaign by sales agent Troy Dowker.
