This newly-renovated designer house hits all the right notes for a glamorous waterfront lifestyle on one of the city’s most prestigious streets.

In English, the Spanish word ‘Alto’ translates as something that is high, tall, or a long way above the ground.

The name is a fitting choice for this striking waterfront mansion nestled away in an enviable position behind Surfers Paradise in the exclusive enclave of Isle of Capri.

Inspired by the minimalist beauty of modern Brazilian architecture, a two-level horizontal design features dramatic voids, an expansive open floor plan and swathes of glass.

Those exceptional bones set the stage for an extensive back-to-shell renovation led by the owner and prestige Gold Coast builder Clamroc Constructions.

Over the past year, 68 The Promenade has been meticulously transformed with a sophisticated selection of finishes and fixtures taking the stand-out entertainer to a whole new level.

A trio of oversized Bover skybell pendants, custom-made and imported from Barcelona, accentuate a 5.7m ceiling in the main living space where the grand sense of scale is further enhanced by 1200mm x 1200mm porcelain floor tiles.

Matt-black cabinetry lends a touch of drama to a sleek entertainer’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, where delicate white veining within a 100mm slab of Petra Grigio Smartstone is the subtle hero.

Oversized commercial-grade doors glide back for seamless access to the pool with BBQ kitchen on one side and on the other, expansive alfresco entertaining with a side of wide water views.

Kollosche agent Eddie Wardale, who is leading the marketing campaign, says Alto is a true statement home.

“The design is very unique and the finishes only add to the wow factor,” says Eddie.

“It’s unusual to get a newly-renovated house on a waterfront block of this size in Isle of Capri.”

At 991m2, the land parcel is among the largest on Isle of Capri’s most prestigious street. Perfectly positioned just off Main River, a 14-metre pontoon and twin jet-ski dock makes the most of 26.8-metre water frontage.

An upper-level master suite with a private balcony takes full advantage of the water outlook, while a grand central bathtub, wrapped in stone and underlit with LEDs, steals the show in an elegant ensuite that leads to a deluxe dressing room.

Pure wool carpet adds luxurious comfort to two additional upstairs bedrooms and a ground floor guest bedroom where the ensuite features a freestanding bath.

A media room set at the front of the property creates an additional quiet space to relax, with full-height doors stacking back to open up access to a secure front yard where glimpses of the city skyline include Australia’s tallest residential building, Q1.

A steam room lined in penny round tiles is a welcome inclusion for at-home well-being, while an office – which could be used as an additional bedroom – overlooks the water. A three-car garage is finished in showroom-style, with a wall of glass allowing prized vehicles to be admired from inside the fully-fenced grounds.

While Alto is undoubtedly a showpiece, the impressive standard of form is complemented by function in equal measure.

“No expense has been spared by the owner in making this house magnificent,” says Eddie.

“It’s a glamorous home, but it’s also very practical. Lawns and landscaping are minimal leaving little for a new owner to do but walking, unpack and appreciate the lifestyle here.”

While the house provides plenty of reasons not to leave, The Promenade is only minutes from beautiful Gold Coast beaches and the vibrant seaside hubs of Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach.

Ride your bike or a jet ski for coffee, lunch, dinner and a spot of boutique shopping at local favourite Capri on Via Roma, including Harris Farm Markets.

“It’s a glamorous home, but it is also very practical.”

High profile auctioneer Tom Panos has been engaged to run the auction onsite at 11am on Friday, 10 February in what promises to be a lively event.
